The Lives of Others (2006)

The movie is a silent killer because of some silent and resilient heroes in it. As humanly possibly real as you can get.

Since when a top movie can be so quiet, so stuffy yet so powerful? I'm amazed by its aftermath, as I slowly comprehend the sacrifices beneath.

What's going to happen to this year's Oscar (84th)

In my opinion, this year's Oscar (84th Academy Awards), has a lot lesser serious contenders.

Must be the Euro crisis.

What is 'Quit'?

Ops sorry. I know I've done badly, but I don't understand the word 'quit'.

One of the most important laws of all. Do you have a 'because of' attitude or 'in spite of' attitude?

I salute their no-excuse attitude. Not the first time Evra is again the only fit first team defender.

Something wrong with my connection

My friend commented that I'm actually not as friendly as I would seem. There's always a distinctive gap amidst the connection.

I admit I have trouble connecting to people. Worse with closer ones.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

It's only a matter of time before we grow up and realize that we're actually smart and unique, but what matters most is the courage to take on responsibility and to revolutionize for the better.

A bunch of bold apes running amok for their holy purposes, is exactly what we as human, should learn and courageously apply.

Seemingly primitive movie with unbelievable depth of soul and character beneath, not forgetting its top-of-the-table technologies and Andy Serkis's godlike one-man-show.

Gollum's defeat is only a starter to Caesar's triumph.

My only hope: Andy Serkis is in best actor category while Nick Nolte in best supporting actor category. Don't let them collide head-on in the same category, please.

My heart basically teared and torn into bloody bits and pieces for 2.5 hours, thanks to her portrayal as an Auschwitz inmate survivor, carrying such intense horror and guilt. 

I'm totally lost now, having just recalled her teary eyes.

It's like with the figure above and the Zapruder film, you can be absolute certain that President John F. Kennedy was being shot by multiple shooters. Poor public and maybe, poor Lee Harvey Oswald.

I wonder does Tom Cruise ever wish to swap Dustin Hoffman's looks for once, just for one Academy Award in his life time.

You don't know about my idol

Please do not let me start on him.

Perhaps you don't know he is like Ryan Gosling, Charlize Theron, Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Swank, Elizabeth Taylor..., they have survived child abuse/neglect/molestation/incest and gone on to thrive.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)

Best in the series. Period. Because of Tom Cruise + Brad Bird, we have Actions + Emotions.

Perhaps one touch to elevate Ghost Protocol to the status of "Top Films of All-Time", an ultra bad a*s is needed, an a*s like Joker.
